Pensar el bicentenario en los márgenes : yerba mate, agro y asociacionismo

Abstract

El trabajo se presenta como un aporte a la discusión y reflexión de la situación agraria -a partir de la óptica regional- en tiempos del Bicentenario con el propósito de matizar, ampliar y hacer más complejas sus interpretaciones macrohistóricas. En este sentido, centramos el análisis en la actividad yerbatera, en tanto cimiento fundamental del agro en un territorio marginal y de frontera, y considerando a sus actores (productores, cooperativas, Estado) como sujetos activos de la historia política, económica y social de Misiones. El enunciado así planteado otorga un papel destacado a los cambios y permanencias que se registran en la región yerbatera argentina. Además, sitúa a los sujetos sociales como principales protagonistas en el devenir socio-histórico en la zona de estudio, por lo que conforman el eje transversal en esta propuesta de análisis. Son ellos quienes actúan como componentes esenciales para explicar la dinámica del agro a escala regional, al tiempo que se constituyen en los principales agentes para la construcción social del espacio.

This text attempts to be a contribution to the discussion and reflection of the agrarian situation –from a regional perspective- in the bicentennial times with the purpose of extending and bring complexity to the macro-historical interpretations. Therefore we center the analysis in the production of yerba mate as a foundation of the agriculture in a marginal and border territory, considering the social actors (producer, cooperatives, nation-state) as active subjects of the political, economic and social history of Misiones. The statement provides an important role to the changes and continuities registered in the yerba productive region. Besides, it situates the social subjects as main protagonists in the socio-historical course of the study area, so they conform the transversal axis for this analysis proposal. The subjects act as essential components to explain the agricultural dynamic at a regional scale, at the same time they are the main agents for the construction of social space.
