De cómo del Territorio Nacional obtuvimos patrimonio…El Parque Nacional Iguazú, el gobernador Acuña, Exequiel y Alejandro Bustillo

Abstract

Las fuentes de descanso y recomposición energética actuales indican a los espacios naturales como aquellos que brindan a sus usuarios paz y cobijo. Esto hace que su protección sostenida sea una constante desde principios del siglo XX, cuando se puso especial atención a la construcción de argumentos lo suficientemente sólidos que sustentaran la selección y protección de estos sitios naturales: lugares en donde la naturaleza se comporta de una manera relevante y que por ello es indicable su defensa. Argentina, pionera junto con otros dos países –los tres de América: Estados Unidos, Canadá y Argentina– en este tema, tuvo una gestión inicial a cargo de Exequiel Bustillo, primer presidente de Parques Nacionales. Este escrito recorre esos primeros tiempos desde la relación entre el entonces gobernador del Territorio Nacional de Misiones, Dr. Carlos Acuña, y el arquitecto Alejandro Bustillo, en el marco de la consolidación de fronteras nacionales.

The current sources of rest and energy recomposition indicate natural spaces as those which give their users peace and shelter. This makes their sustained protection a constant since the early twentieth century, when special attention was paid to the construction of sufficiently strong arguments to support the selection and protection of these natural sites: places where nature behaves in a relevant way and because of which defense is indicated. Argentina, a pioneer along with two other countries –the three of America: USA, Canada and Argentina– in this, had an initial management by Exequiel Bustillo, first president of Parques Nacionales. This paper covers those early times since the relationship between the then governor of the National Territory of Misiones, Lawyer Carlos Acuña, and the Architect Alejandro Bustillo, in the framework of the consolidation of national borders.
