Estudio de las propiedades antimicrobianas de un exudado de semillas de Cedrella fissilis Vell.

Abstract

En las semillas de Cedrella fissilis Vell. Se determinó la presencia de una sustancia que lixiviaba al sustrato de germinación. El objetivo de este trabajo fue el estudio de algunas características de la sustancia en cuanto a su poder antifúngido, así como su influencia sobre la germinación de sus propias semillas que la producen. Se describen también los resultados del tratamiento de las semillas con inhibidores de la transcripción y traducción proteínica, posterior aislamiento y separación electroforética del ARN, y el efecto de los inhibidores sobre la presencia del metabolito activo.

Working with Cedrella fissilis seed, it was discovered a substance that exuded into the germinating substrate. The efforts were therefore directed to the study of some of the characteristics of the substance, specially regarding its antifungal capability, and the influence over the germination process of the seed that produces it. The results of treating the seed with transcription and translation inhibitors, the isolation and separation of RNA by means of electrophoretic methods and the effect of the inhibitors over the presence of the active metabolite were described.
