This work is framed in a research project applied to public buildings which was carried out in the field of the Faculty of Engineering of the UNaM. The research project seeks to analyze methodologies for the implementation of an Energy Management System based on IRAM ISO 50001/18 standards that contribute to the improvement of energy performance by reducing energy consumption. The energy sources currently used are electricity and fuel. The measurement limits include the Central Building, CEFI, Buffet, the Sports Centre and Patagonia Bank. All the electrical energy of these areas of the Faculty of Engineering is registered by one of the energy meters of the distributor. The annual energy registered by this meter in 2019 amounted to a value close to 115.6MW-hr, representing 47% of what was consumed by the institution in the 2019 period. For the 2019 period, the distributor's remaining meter registered an energy consumption close to 54%. This remaining meter records the energy of the Civil Engineering Building and its laboratories, which reached an annual consumption of 247MW-hr in 2019. Regarding the other energy source consumed for the university's activities, fuel, there are no concrete data. Part of the activities of the implementation of the EnMS includes the review and data collection of equipment that consumes energy in the Faculty. There is a record from the heritage of all the institution's equipment and tools, but not of their consumption and efficiency. In order to record why the high energy consumption is due even when the activities of the faculty are reduced, smart meters were installed in different circuits. This article presents power analysis results for one of these meters. It is detected that 42% of the energy consumption of this circuit occurs during night hours, where there are no work activities.es_AR
