Efectos del ácido indolbutírico sobre el crecimiento de plantines de Araucaria angustifolia Bert

Abstract

Para determinar el efecto de los regula­dores del crecimiento sobre algunas especies de interés comercial, en el sentido de aumentar su crecimiento por unidad de tiempo en el estadio de plantines en vivero, para que al ser llevado a campo la tasa y supervivencia de éstos se vea mejorada, se comenzó estudiando el efecto del ácido indol butírico (IBA), sobre plantiles de Araucaria angustifolia Bert. Los experimentos demuestran que a las concentraciones usadas y con los métodos de aplicación utilizados, el IBA tiene un efecto nulo o totalmente negativo, causando a concentraciones altas la muerte de los plantines. Tampoco se vieron efectos apreciables positivos sobre las raíces.

The aim of this work was to try to reduce the interval of time the seedlings are in nurseries, and to obtain plantlets of good height, to be established in the field. For that purpose, the effects of indol butiric acid (IBA) on the growth of seedlings of Araucaria angustifolia was studied. The results show that at the concentrations used, and with the application methods described, IBA has no effect, or an absolute negative one. At high concentrations causes death of seedling. No positive effects over roots were noticed.
