dc.description.abstract | The most effective and efficient corrosion inhibitors are organic compounds that have pi bonds, heteroatoms (P, S, N and O), and inorganic compounds, such as chromates, dichromates, nitrites and so on. However, the use of these compounds has been questioned lately, due to the negative
effects they cause in the environment, hence the growing interest in seeking to replace them. The inhibiting effect of Aloe Saponaria gel on the corrosion process of aluminum in an acid medium of 0.5 M HCl was analyzed. Measure-ments of polarization potentiodynamic, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy and weight loss were employed, in acid medium in absence and presence of the inhibitor, at different concentrations (10, 20, 30% v/v), at the following temperatures: 293, 308, 315 and 323 K. The results obtained in the different concentrations show an increase in the efficiency of the inhibitor effect at 293 K. | es_AR |
