Contribution, impact and reflections of the philosophy in administrative management. A documentary reflection

Abstract

The present article is proposed as a reflection which intends to establish a relationship between the different philosophical schools and thoughts and their impact on administrative science. Methodologically, it is based on a temporal review of literature related to the different postulates of the various philosophical schools throughout history. From this conceptual framework, the article presents reflections in light of current strategic and managerial thinking. Administration has never had a univocal definition; however, philosophy and the thought of major figures have provided epistemological foundations that allow it to become a reflective, conceptual, and practical science.
